About Wrytar
Wrytar is built by a small independent team of writers and engineers who kept paying for AI writing subscriptions they only used a fraction of. We decided to give the core writing jobs away (drafting, rewriting, humanizing, grammar fixing) with no signup and no word caps.
The site is funded by optional paid workspaces (https://wrytar.com/app/wrytar-pro) for people who write daily and want persistence and collaboration around the free tools. The free tools are not gated or metered to push upgrades; that separation is deliberate and permanent policy.
Our content is written by humans with AI assistance, reviewed before publication. Where we rank our own products in comparisons, we say so in the article itself.
How we build and test the tools
Every Wrytar tool starts from a writing problem one of us actually has: a deadline, a stubborn paragraph, a tone that keeps coming out wrong. We build the smallest thing that solves it, then use it on real work before it ships. Tools that need prompt engineering to behave don't ship; if you have to know magic words to get good output, the tool isn't done.
Output quality gets reviewed against the same bar repeatedly, not once: does the paraphrase preserve hedging? Does the humanizer preserve facts exactly? Does the grammar fixer leave voice alone? When a tool fails one of those checks, we tune the underlying instructions before adding features anywhere else. That's also why the guides on this site teach manual technique first; you should be able to do the job without us, and use the tools to go faster.
What's next
The roadmap is driven by what writers ask for most: suggest a missing tool any time via contact. Recent additions include the paraphrasing tool, the readability checker, and offline utilities that run entirely in your browser.
